Delta school Windhoek this year celebrates its 40th anniversary. On this occasion there will be a number of special events. Here the most important dates:

30th of October > Let's meet - an informal party with beer tent on the school grounds

  1th of November > Monday - Funday in the Independence Stadion

  2th of November > Birthday bash with raffle draw

  3rd and 4th November > Musical "Anni" in the School Hall

  5th of November > Official reception for invited guests

We also call on our ex-students to come forward and register on our ex-student page. There you will find a link to the Alumnipage of the Delta schools as well as a reference to our page on facebook.

   BIG WALK 2010

On June 5 we again held our annual Big Walk on Farm Otjimpaue-Süd. The modified and more challenging route brought many a sweat. Many thanks to all volunteers and guests.

  

         

   

The first to master the shorter course were: Christoph Krönke (7a), Dieter Kebbel (6b) und Indongo Timotheus (7a). On the long course the first were: Ralf Austermühle from Grade 4a (top left), Keeren Markgraaff (6a) und Kuazavi Hengari from 6a (middle). The first girls at the Finish were: Shera-Lee Hambira, grade 5a (top right), Carina Isenberg and Tanja Mackensen from Grade 4.

       

          

 After the sweaty part everybody relaxes with good food, drinks and namibian 'gemuetlichkeit'.

   

 

At the Interim Draw for the big anniversary raffle the following winners were drawn:

N$ 10 000 go to the DSW scholar Erich Frauscher

N$ 4 000  to W. Böhm from Swakopmund  and

N$ 1 000  to Dr. W. Hagema from Germany

CONGRATULATIONS !

 

 

 

 

Nhadia Gustavo (7a) won 2nd place in a local Squash tournament and also the trophy for Sportmanship in the U14 group. The girls group consisted of 16 players in the age groups U13 to U19.

To welcome back the scholars in the hostel after the holidays, a small Braai was organised on April 25.

 

 

     Mr. Marcus Jahn, sports student from Germany bid the school farewell on April 23.          His input and ideas were highly appreciated.

 
 

On April 22 Grade 2 and 3 pupils visited the the puppet show 'The little Prince' in the new Backstage Theatre.What a wonderful experience!
