Due to the high demand and the large amount of new registrations received, a second English Grade 1 class was established this year. On 17. January the new scholars started their career at our school and were welcomed by their class teacher, Mrs. Eliakim and      Mrs. Uanga

Scholars of Grade 5 - 7 with extrordinary academic achievements for the 2011 school year are:

DSW MusiC-Sundowner

During our Sundowner evening on October 27 the winners of our big Raffle were drawn. The three main prices were won by the following persons:

1. Price - Accomodation for two at the Nest Hotel in Lüderitz + Petrol voucher to the value of N$ 6900.00 :   B. Amadhila

2. Price -  Canvas Art set to the value of N$ 2880.00 :   T. Engelsmann

3. Price - Woman Leather Handbag to the value of N$ 2000.00 :   J. Palle

Our school was this year again honored with some important awards by the Directorate of Education for the Khomas Region who examine Primary schools in the Region and Delta School proudly received the following awards:

Best school in the Khomas Region and best school in the 3rd district of the region.

Also the following teachers were awarded with certificates for outstanding achievements in their subjects:

1. English: 97% - Mrs. Veronika Lange

2. Nature Science: 82% - Mr. Eberhard Werner

3. Mathematics: 79% - Mrs. Brigitte Otto

The yearly DSW Athletics competition on August 20 was again a success.

Winner were the 'Kiebitze' with 688 points, followed by 'Trappe' with 602 points and 'Perlhuhn' with 477 points.

Khomas Science Fair 2011

For the first time in the history of the DSW 11 learners participated in the Khomas Regional Science Fair. Learners started their projects / research at the end of February. They were requested to do the research and the construction by themselves and present the design / projects at the beginning of the Second Trimester. Assistance was given with the drawing up and completion of the posters and divider's.

On the 22nd of June 2011 their names were entered in different categories to participate at the Fair from June 29 to July 1st, 2011. They were judged by a panel of judges. All learners received a certificate for having successfully participated.

The following learners were rewarded with medals:

Furthermore Tim Isenberg received the trophy as best candidate in the category:

Computer Science

42 schools and 369 learners participated , 19 of the schools were Primary Schools.

Delta School received 6th place!!!
